George Musat is the co-founder of Sourdough Flakes and the founder of The Sourdough Crust Co., a hospitality business built on the belief that great bread changes everything. With a background in professional hospitality and Romanian baking traditions, George has spent more than ten years refining a sourdough practice that's both deeply technical and completely accessible.
His starter culture, Cintra - now over ten years old - has been dehydrated, rehydrated, and used by home bakers right across Australia. Sourdough Flakes is Australia's bestselling sourdough starter on Amazon, validated by Woolworths Seed Lab, and recognised with the 2022 SHE-Com Best Food & Beverage Savoury award.
George's workshops are hands-on, practical, and built around the idea that anyone can bake great sourdough - you just need the right foundation.
